% n0 }2 Z" i/ o: N! w! ^  F　　杨帆的航船，
　　an opening flower,
　　绽放的鲜花，
  V& ]) z; B* K- ?& Q2 O1 A　　a town at night,
　　夜幕中的小镇，
　　the song of the blackbird,
　　优美的诗行，
　　a lovely poem,
( C7 V3 |7 d8 {( M9 O2 e8 v　　可爱的诗人
" }! C$ ^# R  r, {4 U) F: h4 z1 W　　leaf shadows,
　　婆娑的树影，
　　a child’s grace,
　　孩童的烂漫，

　　漫天的繁星
　　apple trees in spring,
　　春天的果树，
　　sheep-bells on a hill,

　　a butterfly,
　　一只蝴蝶 ，
　　the crescent moon,

' ~  Q" M/ e0 e, m7 Y# R　　that evoke in us the thought of beauty —
　　这些使我们潜生美感的万千景象，音籁和词句
- u5 G- S, N% e- v, ]6 d! c! W　　these are the drops of rain
　　that keep the human spirit from death by drought.
　　仿佛雨露般滋润着我们干涸的心田。
! k8 C6 c6 ]( U+ [7 T　　They are a stealing and silent refreshment
　　它们悄然而来
　　that we perhaps do not think about,
/ n+ g, N* P6 H" ~' [　　在我们不经意中荡涤尘寰
2 H1 ]9 ]! d$ K9 g9 e0 P' y; n　　but which goes on all the time.
　　绵延不断
　　Beauty is the smile on the earth’s face,
. L# o* r4 X7 j1 t$ F. E# d1 m　　美是大地的笑容，
+ y/ j8 E; B5 f1 P　　open to all, and needs but the eyes to see,
　　the mood to understand.
